Welcome to St Cuthbert’s Primary School and Nursery Class

St Cuthbert’s Primary School is a denominational school covering the stages of Primary 1 to 7. We also have a large non-denominational nursery.  The school is one of six primary schools in the St John Ogilvie Learning Community.

The school has a long and proud history serving the community of Burnbank since 1893. We have a beautiful school building that has been extended over the years to meet our growing school community.

At St Cuthbert’s we are aware that the education of your child is a most serious responsibility which we are privileged to share with you. We aim therefore, to make school a happy, supportive place in which your child will thrive and develop socially, emotionally, academically, physically and spiritually. They will be supported to develop key skills for life, learning and work. And most importantly this will all take place in a nurturing environment with positive relationships at the centre of what we do.

Within the school we have a strong Catholic ethos underpinned by the Gospel Values. We provide an inclusive ethos where the dignity and value of each individual is respected and valued.

I hope this website provides some key information about our school and enables you to follow our learning journey through our School X and parent portal.

Parent Council

Our school has a very supportive Parent Council who work in partnership with school staff to enhance the educational experience of all our children. Our Parent Council currently meet virtually on Wednesday evenings, once a month, at 6:30pm. Meetings can be attended in person or on the teams link that will be sent out before the meeting. All parents and carers are most welcome to attend. Please read the most recent Parent Council newsletter explaining what they do and how they make a positive difference to our school.

Minutes of recent meetings will be accessible here with details of the date of the next meeting.
